Abhishek Anicca is a writer, poet and spoken word artist. He identifies as a person with locomotor disability and chronic illness which shapes his creative endeavours. He has written on living with disability and illness for the Times of India, The Quint, Kitaab, Mad in Asia among others. His poems have been published in English and Hindi, most notably in Nether Quarterly, Gulmohur Quarterly, The Alipore Post, Jankipul, Samalochan and Posham Pa. He uses spoken word poetry for disability activism and has given more than fifty performances across India and the world. Abhishek has a bachelor's degree from Delhi University, a master's degree from TISS, Mumbai and an MPhil degree from Ambedkar University, Delhi.
