Filipino American writer Noelle Q. de Jesus has lived in Singapore as a permanent resident since 2000. Born in the US but raised in Manila, Noelle helped start the Filipino edition of Cosmopolitan in 1997. She has sinced worked fulltime in Singapore for SPH Magazines and MediaCorp Publishing, but has been a freelance copywriter and editor since 2010.

Her book of short fiction, BLOOD Collected Stories (Ethos Books Singapore 2015) won the 2016 Next Generation Indie Book Award for the short story category, and a French translation is forthcoming from Éditions Do in the Fall of 2020. Penguin Random House Southeast Asia is publishing her second book of short fiction, Cursed and Other Stories, which will launch at the 2019 Singapore Writers Festival. She has written a chicklit novel, Mrs MisMarriage (Marshall Cavendish Interantional 2008) under her married name and edited the flash fiction anthology series, Fast Food Fiction Short Short Stories to Go and Fast Food Fiction Delivery(Anvil Publishing Philippines 2003, 2015).

She is very grateful to accept the Jalan Besar Writing Residency, which will allow her to finish her novel, Another Immense Sky, and begin a creative non-fiction book project about life lessons from tennis.
