Kofi Emmanuel Thayu Amoafo remembers always being a romantic. Half Ghanaian, half Kenyan, he was born in Kenya with a Ghanaian heritage, he grew up with a perspective curved from two halves of the continent. He grew up in Nairobi, Kenya reading classic novels, falling in love, and looking for adventure, later studying for an undergraduate degree in business administration in Ghana at Ashesi University—remaining always a stubborn lover of words. Kofi has been published in Sonku Magazine based out of Temple University. He enjoys talking about writing and has been invited to creative spaces to speak about his writing and thought process. Similar to the likes of Oscar Wilde and William Shakespeare, his childhood crushes have been cited as some of his earliest inspirations.
