Vivek Nityananda grew up in Bangalore where he trained as a biologist. He has written for Tehelka and Open Magazine and has illustrated two collections of short stories published by Katha. He has also been published in First Proof 7, The Penguin Book of New Indian writing.
He lives and works in Newcastle upon Tyne in the UK, where he designs 3D glasses for praying mantises.
